Colin is a banking and finance lawyer with over 20 years’ experience working on debt finance transactions. Colin was previously a partner in the London office of US law firm and he worked on cross border and domestic banking deals for US and European banks and credit funds, private equity sponsors and privately owned businesses.
During his time in the City, Colin has completed a wide range of transactions from €4bn leverage buy out financings in Greece to £1-5 million acquisition facilities for care home businesses in the United Kingdom. These would include secured and unsecured bilateral, club and syndicated bank facilities that span the gamut of term and revolving facilities, ancillary facilities and other non-cash facilities (such as cash pooling and corporate services facilities) and covered the Leverage (acting for senior, second lien and mezzanine lenders), Investment Grade and Real Estate sectors.
Over the course of the last 2 years and between 2008-2010, he has also worked on rescue financing and financial restructuring transactions representing steering committees and corporates.

Advised the super priority lenders in relation to the rescue financing for a US/UK cinema chain.
Advised the senior steering committee of banks in relation to the financial restructuring of a Eastern European chemical business.
Advised a US lender in relation to acquisition facilities made available to US REITs in relation to the acquisitions of commercial properties (both single properties and portfolios).

Advised a European Parking Services company in relation to over €699m of syndicated debt facilities including bolt on acquisition finance accordion debt and super priority term facilities.
